Given my general mistrust of the entire “acoustic-singer-songwriter” genre, I was more than pleasantly surprised when I caught Charlie Bath live at Crash Records recently. She was performing as part of Test Space, a multidisciplinary art fair, and was a real breath of fresh air, singing engaging, challenging and thought-provoking little epics of songs.

Haste The Day

With their new album “Attack of the Wolf King” coming up, US metallers Haste The Day swung by the UK for a brief tour back in April. Labelmates Oh, Sleeper were also scheduled to appear, but Icelandic Volcanoes got in the way of things. Undeterred, Haste The Day came and provided Manchester Moho with a blistering set of harcore-tinged metal. Check out more shots below the cut!
