With quite a few posts to come in the next week or so, here’s a quick preview from my shots of Machine Head in Leeds last week (click for a larger view). Loads more where this came from!
Today’s update is a little different from the norm: I shot a wedding for the first time last week, and the evening’s reception presented the chance to practice my usual style of photography – the band hired for the event was none other than the Dan Taylor Quartet (previously featured here)! It was great to shoot for the guys again, and it was interesting to shoot a band outside of the normal stage/crowd context. Check out more shots and a full gallery below the cut!

With one of the more, ahem, colourful monikers I’ve come across, Decapitated were every bit as vibrant on stage as their name would suggest. Having been through personal trauma over the last few years (their former drummer was killed in an horrific traffic accident, that also left their singer in a coma), their set was something of an emotional one for both band and crowd. Indeed, Rios was stuffed to the gills by the time these masters of all things tech hit the stage.
